Download HTMLCleanUp 1.1.9
Opening
version 1.1.8+ will not be blocked by an expired demo of version 1.0.0 to
1.1.7.
Changes in version 1.1.9,
released 18 April 1999:
Bugs repaired:
- When used with a Windows
NT4 installation (one report only, no problems reported with Win95), the
programme crashed with an error #75 when trying to register it, and it was
then impossible to reopen it. It looks like a Microsoft VisualBasic runtime
bug, and was solved by choosing a different algorithm.
- If the default directory
had been moved or removed, HTMLCleanUp would crash during startup. Now a
"Can't find [your old default dir.]" warning is issued instead. A new default
directory will automatically be saved when leaving HTMLCleanUp.

Chick here to download the
zipped setup package of version 1.1.9
(2.2 MB). The package contains a 100% working demo. The demo will work
for 30 days after HTMLCleanUp was opened for the first time. See the
registration and copyrights
conditions on the "Registration" page.
Please note, that for full functionality HTLMCleanUp
needs Microsoft
Internet Explorer 4+ to be installed on the PC. You can get the latest version,
e.g. by contacting your local Microsoft customer service.
Installation
- Copy the zip file to a temporary directory.
- Extract the files from the zip file to
the temporary directory. Click
here
if you need zip extraction software.
- Close all other programmes (MS Windows
Explorer may remain open).
- Run the setup.exe file. Answer the questions
during the installation.
- After the installation, the temporary
directory may be deleted. However, we recommend you to move the original
zip file to the final directory of HTMLCleanUp in order to make it possible
to reinstall HTMLCleanUp later on.
Updated single files
The update will only work if HTMLCleanUp
has already been installed on your PC.
Download the
update to version 1.1.9
(175 kB). Extract the zip'ed files to your HTMLCleanUp directory (normally
"c:/Program Files/HTMLCleanUp/").
The HTMLhelp file
(88 kB) could be of interest and inspiration to HTMLhelp designers, especially
the "Main Screen" page and the e-mail return form available from the "In case
of problems..." page. To open it, an HTML help viewer (on a PC normally c:\windows\hh.exe)
must be properly installed.
